Black Child Book Fair Awards

The mission of the Harvey Writers Group The Black Child Book Fair, LLC promotes African-American focused reading materials in urban communities nationwide to enrich the educational, emotional, developmental and social needs of youth with diverse backgrounds. ​

The Black Child Book Fair will have its first awards ceremony at the Chicago Black Child Book Fair February 11, 2023. The awards ceremony will honor authors and illustrators with outstanding contributions to black children’s literature in the year 2022.
