September 17, 2022 - Evanston, IL

                 ​The Black Child Book Fair is debuting in the Northern suburb of Chicago, Evanston, IL, and               partnering with their largest high school, Evanston Township. 

September 24, 2022 – Memphis, TN

The Black Child Book Fair is returning to Memphis! We are collaborating with the Benjamin Hooks Regional Library and the 100 Black Women of Memphis for the second year in a row.

October 1, 2022 - Toronto, CA

The Black Child Book Fair is going to TORONTO!  In partnership with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Alumnae Chapter of Toronto we are scheduled for Saturday, October 1st! 

October 15, 2022- Jackson, MS
The Black Child Book Fair is debuting in Mississippi! We are scheduled on the campus of Jackson St. University! We are also partnering with the Zeta Phi Beta Alumnae Jackson chapter.

October 29, 2022- New Orleans, LA
The Black Child Book Fair is making its debut in NOLA!  New Orleans, Louisiana!!  We are going to have a costume themed book fair with a children’s costume contest and free books for the winners!

November 5, 2022- Atlanta, GA
The Black Child Book Fair is debuting in the ATL! The BCBF will appear at W. J. Scott Elementary School. We’ll also have help from the National Hook Up of Black Women to promote the event.

December 3, 2022 - Charlotte, NC
We are returning to Charlotte! This year we are partnering with Movement Charter Schools for a  holiday book fair in Tarheel country!

December 10, 2022- Dallas, TX
The Black Child Book Fair is returning to Dallas for the holiday book fair! We will partner again with the Delta Sigma Theta Alumnae Chapter of Dallas! There will be giveaways and more!

Vendor Payment



"Books for Black children are hard to find" is a common statement in our society.  Black children need to see faces that look like theirs and stories about people that look like them written by people that look like them. The Black Child Book Fair Tour will provide positive and quality literature for our children.
